What is my idea?

Create a "news" page that includes announcements and information for the Media/Broadcasting class.

What problem do I hope to solve?

Our high school has changed its schedule, and now has no common homeroom period. In years past, homeroom was used for daily attendance and for morning announcements. Without the common homeroom period, the Media program must now rely on student traffic to online sites: webpages, YouTube channels, social media.

Why do I care about it?

Keeping the student body informed, especially in a large high school, is very important. Without a rapt audience, however, having a landing page for all student-targeted news is key. Also, utilizing all that the internet has to offer to serve this purpose is important for students to learn.

Who is my target audience?

Primary audience: high school students

Secondary audience: school administration

What type of content will I post?

I will post

• embedded YouTube videos of broadcasts;
• screenshots & links to relevant Twitter accounts: news, district, cafeteria, athletics, activities, etc.;>/li>
• text of special announcements: sporting events, fundraisers, sales;
• photos of life around school (may have to be representative, as I can't post student photos without permission);
• videos of life around school (again, representative). <
